🧣

Scalp & Head Comfort

  • Soft bamboo or jersey knit sleep caps — gentle on a sensitive scalp
  • Satin pillowcase — reduces friction overnight
  • Fragrance-free scalp moisturizer (CeraVe or Vanicream)
  • Wide-brim garden hat over wig for sun protection outdoors
  • Cotton turbans for around the house — comfortable, no fuss
💊

Infusion Day Essentials

  • Warm blanket or lap throw — infusion centers are cold
  • Compression socks — chemo can cause leg swelling
  • Crackers, ginger chews — easy on the stomach
  • Lip balm & hand lotion — chemo dries everything out
  • Headphones and tablet — sessions can be 3–5 hours
  • Button-front tops — easier if you have a port
🫚

Nausea & Fatigue

  • Ginger chews or ginger tea — helps with nausea
  • Sea-Bands acupressure wristbands — surprisingly effective
  • Small frequent meals rather than large ones
  • Rest when tired — fatigue is real, not weakness
  • Light walks in the garden when energy allows
👧

Staying Active with Grandkids

Keep easy floor activities ready for low-energy days — reading, puzzles, drawing. A few comfortable "command center" spots around the house make a big difference. Grandkids under 3 are surprisingly adaptable and love quiet time too.

📓 Your Private Journal

About Chemo Brain — Many women notice during treatment that memory, focus, and word-finding feel different. This is real, common, and has a name. Writing — even a few sentences — is one of the most grounding things you can do.
